Shun On District Elderly Community Centre (DECC), established in 1986, was the first multi-service centre for the elderly in Kwun Tong. Originally, it was located at Sau Mau Ping Estate and due to the redevelopment of the Estate, it removed to Shun On Estate in 1996 and renamed as Shun On DECC.

Our mission is to provide high quality, interdisciplinary, participative, responsive and trendy social services to the elders in the community, in order to enable them to lead a healthy and respectful life, to enhance their positive and contributive role, and to involve the caregivers and public to build a caring community.

Service Vision

Our vision is to provide opportunities for community residents to enjoy more years in good health; and to maximize physical-psychosocial capacity in one’s life course. We will strive to narrow the disparities between people who reach good health/well- being in their latter stage of life and who do not, so that people will not experience such disparities in future.

Dementia Community Support Scheme

Service Target：Elders, who are 60 years old or above, with mild to moderate level of dementia, and: 1. Referred by Hospital Authority (HA) Department of Geriatrics or Geriatric Psychiatry Team for patients diagnosed with mild or moderate dementia; or 2. Member of the District Elderly Community Centre who are suspected of having symptoms of early dementia.
